„Effective Heat and Temperature Control“ is HOBRA’s comprehensive mark, under which all the company’s products and services in refractory and insulation applications are identified. In essence, it is a marketing project which covers everything HOBRA manufactures, offers and supplies in these spheres.
HOBRA refractory fibrous materials have found the largest application in the production of boilers and furnaces owing to their ideal properties for these products, such as the excellent insulation capacities (low heat conductivity), resistance to sudden temperature changes (thermal shocks), fast product (equipment) commissioning, low weight of insulation (lower weight of final product) and, last but not least, higher resistance to vibrations and shocks, which eliminates insulation damage during transport.
An example of the applications of HOBRA insulation products in boiler manufacture is insulation for direct contact with heat where TIBREX® boards are used, or secondary insulation, where more products are used, e.g. SIBREX® 140 and SIBREX® 250 (insulation is used to reduce temperature and prevent stress by means of the expansion component).
An example of the applications of HOBRA insulation products in furnace production is the insulation of external components where IZOBREX® is used in general, and the insulation of individual furnace chambers where IZOBREX® and also SIBREX® 140 are used.
HOBRA insulation products are also frequently used for high-temperature sealing for all applications, such as gaskets for flanges, exhausts, inspection holes, etc. FLESIBREX® refractory paper is mostly used in these applications.
